Steeped in history, this pretty place has an awesome story to tell. And it takes place on the high seas. Well some of it anyway. Long before Carnival sailed into the Bay of Islands, Captain Cook took some time out from his epic round-the-world voyage to have a look around and even gave this port its name.
History lessons aside, this port is one of the most picturesque spots in New Zealand. It probably has something to do with the blue sky, judged to be the second bluest in the world. Seriously. Not quite sure how they tested this, but hey, we’re not disagreeing. It’s pretty blue.
So what do you say? Do you want to start your own awesome story in the Bay of Islands?
