HOMEPORT COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

CARNIVAL CONNECTS WITH COMMUNITIES

Carnival Cruise Line is proud to sail more Americans, and serve more U.S. homeports, than any other cruise line! Our operations support hundreds of jobs, leading to direct and indirect investment, bringing millions of visitors to each port community. In addition to that positive economic impact, we are active members in numerous business and community organizations, supporting local nonprofits and hosting special events. Our efforts are focused on our 13 homeport cities, giving back to the areas that directly surround and support our port operations.

Empowering Communities through Nonprofit Support

At Carnival, we are committed to strengthening the communities we call home by supporting local nonprofit organizations that share our vision. We focus on organizations that improve the quality of life for residents, support veterans, military families and first responders, provide health and mentoring services to children, and organizations that protect the environment. Through cruise donations, sponsorship of fundraising events and direct charitable contributions, Carnival has supported numerous nonprofits across our homeport communities.

Local Partnerships for Economic Development

Carnival partners with Chambers of Commerce, Convention & Visitors Bureaus (CVBs) and maritime organizations in our homeport cities, which keeps us connected and invested in the communities where we operate. These memberships help us engage and understand local interests, support tourism and economic development, and strengthen our local ties.

Cruise Donations for a Cause

As part of our commitment to giving back and supporting causes aligned with our core mission, we donate cruises to organizations for fundraising raffles and auctions.

These donations not only help organizations meet their fundraising goals, but also introduce their members and supporters to the joy and excitement of Carnival’s cruise experiences. It is our way of combining fun with goodwill — creating memorable moments while making a meaningful impact.

Special Events and Ship Tours

If you have been on a Carnival cruise, you know there is no feeling like cruising and interacting with our amazing crew! As part of our community engagement efforts, we welcome homeport community leaders and organizations aboard for special events and educational tours that both enlighten and share this feeling of fun and hospitality.

We have held special celebrations marking our milestone anniversaries in homeport cities like New Orleans, Tampa, Port Canaveral and Seattle.

Carnival also hosts ship tours for local universities and other nonprofits that serve youth in our homeport areas. Students hear from ship senior officers and learn about the different roles and career opportunities available in the cruise industry.
