{"id":5397,"date":"2025-10-29T13:25:17","date_gmt":"2025-10-29T02:25:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.carnival.com.au\/behind-the-seas\/?page_id=5397"},"modified":"2026-06-05T13:30:26","modified_gmt":"2026-06-05T03:30:26","slug":"carnival-cruise-line-celebrates-home-cruising-with-new-program","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.carnival.com.au\/behind-the-seas\/news-events\/carnival-cruise-line-celebrates-home-cruising-with-new-program\/","title":{"rendered":"Carnival Cruise Line celebrates home cruising with new program"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Sydney, 29 October 2025<\/strong> \u2013 Carnival Cruise Line today announced plans to sail from more homeports than ever before in Australia and New Zealand in 2027\/2028, underscoring its commitment as the only cruise line to sail year-round in this region.<\/p>\n<p>The world\u2019s most popular cruise line today released its 2027\/2028 program, announcing continued year-round sailing from the marquee ports of Sydney and Brisbane as well as Carnival Cruise Line\u2019s <strong>first-ever<\/strong> <strong>seasons in Adelaide and Auckland<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>After returning from dry dock in March 2027, Carnival Adventure will homeport in Melbourne \u2014 marking <strong>Carnival Cruise Line\u2019s first homeport season in the city in eight years<\/strong>. The latest program release also confirms a second Melbourne season in 2028.<\/p>\n<p>Carnival Cruise Line\u2019s new program includes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Over 200 cruises across four ships<\/li>\n<li>39 destinations to be visited across Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific<\/li>\n<li>Taking more than 500,000 guests on memorable holidays over the 12 months<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u201cCarnival is sailing from five homeports in Australia and New Zealand in 2027\/28 and we remain the only global cruise line committed to sailing in this region year-round,\u201d Carnival Corporation &amp; plc Country Manager Peter Little said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCarnival Cruise Line has answered the call from our interstate and New Zealand guests who\u2019ve been asking for more opportunities to book a convenient and great value cruise holiday, and we&#8217;re delighted to be offering voyages from Adelaide, Melbourne and Auckland as well as our traditional ports of Sydney and Brisbane.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The voyages are expected to be in high demand with multi-generational families and groups of friends, who can spend precious time together through a fun, convenient holiday onboard a cruise ship.<\/p>\n<p>Adelaide grandmother and Carnival Cruise Line fan Shirley Van Hout said, \u201cWhen I heard the news, I was ecstatic. It\u2019s about time Adelaide has a cruise ship because it means easier access.
