Harbour Escape: Enjoy the stunning sights of Waitemata Harbour on the ferry from Auckland. Take a mini tour of Waiheke’s wonderful beaches, multi-million dollar properties and myriad boutique wineries en route to the EcoZip Sight, situated on a hillside with commanding views of Auckland, Rangitoto and the Hauraki Gulf.
Zipline Adventure: Check-in, gear-up, and get ready for one of New Zealand’s most exciting eco-activities. Three dual ziplines, each over 200 metres long, allow you to fly smoothly and safely side-by-side with a partner over the working vineyard and over and into a stunning tract of original and regenerating native New Zealand bush (forest). You'll be accompanied by expert guides, dedicated to ensuring your enjoyment and safety.
Guided Walk: At the end of the third zipline, take a spectacular interpretive walk, shaded by a canopy of both regenerating and pre-European forest. The guides will share stories of local flora and fauna, both the Maori and European history of Waiheke, and explain how EcoZip is helping to restore and preserve this Site of Environmental Significance.
Requirements & Restrictions: Minimum age – 8 years. Minimum rider weight – 30 kg. Maximum rider weight – 125 kg. For safety reasons, pregnant women, and guests with certain medical conditions such as high blood pressure, cardiac and coronary artery disease, pulmonary problems, arthritis, tendonitis, prior head/neck/back injuries or other joint and muscular-skeletal problems may not participate on this excursion.
What to Bring: Comfortable flat-soled shoes, clothing suited to the weather conditions, a hat and jacket, plenty of biodegradable sunscreen and bottled water.
Good to Know: There is an approximate walk of 500 metres to/from the Auckland ferry terminal. Photos taken by your zipline crew can be purchased at an additional cost.
