Bay of Islands: Join your local tour guide on a 45-minute scenic journey to the north coast of the Bay of Islands. Be entertained along the way with tales of Newfoundland and Labrador. During the trip, you’ll see two of the four visible protrusions of Earth’s mantle in the distance — an area often referred to as “the Galapagos of plate tectonics.”
Fishy Visit: Enjoy a brief stop outside a fish-processing plant to discuss fish harvesting and the infamous 1992 cod moratorium.
Tasty & Entertaining: Sample unique culinary delights and experience the vibrant local dance culture, including traditional step-dancing and square-dancing. Following the main events in the hall, guests can enjoy free time connecting with locals, having more tea or coffee, exploring the area outside, or taking in the scenic views.

Good to Know: The walking distance on this excursion is less than 300 meters with limited stairs and relatively flat ground. Please note that there may be additional optional pathways that are a bit more challenging. Wear comfortable walking shoes. This tour operates rain or shine and may operate in reverse order. A small bar will offer bottled beer and wine for purchase, and a small craft table will feature a limited selection of homemade knits available for cash-only purchase.
