Papenoo Valley: Set out in a 4WD to explore Tahiti’s east coast and the island’s largest valley, Papenoo, with its sweeping coastal scenery, rugged eroded mountainsides, and vibrant rainforest.
Rivers & Waterfalls: Experience a thrilling drive through river crossings and waterfall stops, with time for an optional swim in a natural pool when conditions allow, followed by photos at a breathtaking panoramic viewpoint.
Beach Break: Retrace the valley route on your return, pause at a famous black-sand surfing beach, and return to the pier.
Requirements and Restrictions: For safety reasons, pregnant women and guests with knee, back or neck injuries (less than 6 months), may not participate in this excursion.
What to Bring: A towel.
Good to Know: This tour includes unpaved roads and paths that may be bumpy or muddy. There are no changing facilities at the forest pool, so guests should wear their swimwear. Restrooms are not available in the valley, but the tour guide/driver can make emergency restroom stops before entering or after leaving the valley on the return to the ship.
