This First Nation is part of the broader Mi'kma'ki nation, extending across the Atlantic provinces, the Gaspé Peninsula in Quebec, and down to Maine, USA. Travel along the Bay of Islands, stopping at Crow Gulch to learn about the Mi’kmaw community’s challenges and social legacy. Visit the “Wjipiskl” mural by Chief Jenny Brake, symbolizing Indigenous roots and connections to Newfoundland.

Accessibility: This tour is not accessible for guests with limited to no hearing/vision, or those using wheelchairs, canes, rollators, or other mobility devices.

Requirements & Restrictions: Guests must be able to board and exit the school bus independently and walk up to 200 meters over uneven surfaces including gravel and unpaved walkways.
