Join your guided tour through the ruins located deep in the Mayan Jungle and learn about the sacred temples and other structures seen there as well as great information about this ancient civilization. See original red paint on the stucco walls of one of the pyramids and the temple where a mural was found showing the astronomical positions of the planet Venus.

Climb Basamento Temple: You will have the privilege of climbing the Gran Basamento Temple. Here, archaeologists found ceremonial offerings dating to around 1,000 B.C. Explore temples I and II for a breathtaking view of the jungle from above the treetops.

Requirements & Restrictions: This is a moderately active excursion and entails a fair amount of walking over uneven surfaces and climbing. Closed-toe, comfortable shoes are required. For safety reasons, guests with walking difficulties or heart conditions may not participate on this excursion.
